I am a Quebec author from the Montreal area who writes songs, short stories, novels, essays, and even screenplays. Words for pain, books for deliverance, an open-hearted delivery of touching stories and real characters.
I started by writing songs in English, then later in French, which led me to write texts without music. I went through a blogging phase, then short stories and essays, before finally dedicating myself to writing novels. I'm currently working on my third novel (inspired by the eventful life of my wife's mother), while my second (Sous l'emprise de la couronne) is in the editing stage, after I self-published my first (Les mots de la délivrance).
I also write short film scripts for fun. You can find some examples in this YouTube playlist.
My second novel, currently being edited, is very different from the first. It's an adventure novel steeped in historical fact.
It takes place in Montreal in 1888, where François Beaulieu believes he's the victim of a conspiracy orchestrated by the clergy. He enlists the help of a world-renowned French alchemist to clear his name. Trapped by the English, they are unwittingly drawn into a thrilling treasure hunt that leads them to a mysterious Inca artifact hidden in the city. To erase incriminating evidence, the clergy will stop at nothing to prevent them. In this era where witchcraft and the occult are all the rage, who will gain access to the forgotten power of the Inkarri legend?
This is my first novel. After several rejections from publishers to whom I sent the manuscript, I decided to self-publish. Thanks to new technologies, self-publishing is becoming increasingly easy.
This is the story of Daniel, a teenager passionate about literature. From his earliest childhood, his reading allowed him to dream and forget the harsh reality of a dysfunctional family, and his pen has always been his best friend. His encounter with Sara will allow him to discover a reality beyond his dreams, despite the death that lurks at their school. He hopes one day to make others dream with his own words. Words to soothe the pain!
